Once upon a time going to work with your child was just like any other day. Not at Toms River Police Department! It started with about 5 kids sitting next to their parents desks for the day when Chief Little thought to give them a break and take them for a tour of the building and ride in the police car. The next year he decided to do things differently. Now the children are divided into groups and get to participate in demonstrations such as Crime Scene Investigations, K-9 Demos, Mock Courtroom Trials, Physical Training and tours of the building & 911 Center. The officers and the children have the best day, every year we see more and more children wanting to participate!
