The Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Toms River Police Department investigates all crimes against persons and property within the township. The licensing unit monitors all licensed alcohol establishments and massage parlors and the Megan’s Law Unit tracks and monitors all registered sex offenders.
A specialized unit within the Bureau, the Special Enforcement Team, conducts pro-active investigations into narcotics offenses, gang activity, and various other quality of life offenses. The Criminal Operations Bureau is under the command of Captain Chris Anderson canderson@trpolice.org
