The Special Olympics is very near and dear to the hearts of everyone at the Toms River Police Department.
When the 2020 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics was canceled due to the Covid pandemic our officers got creative. 58 police officers ran in small waves to make sure that the torch was carried at the Jersey Shore.
Together they raised $1700 for Special Olympics.
