Officer Bridgette Badalis
Life Saving Award
On June 16th, 2021 Officer Badalis responded to the area of Rt. 70 and Whitesville Rd in regards to a serious motor vehicle crash, with a motorcyclist down. Mr. Troncone had suffered an amputated leg injury, directly above the knee joint. A good Samaritan had placed a belt on the leg in attempt to slow down the bleeding. Officer Badalis was able to place her department issues tourniquet on the victim above the knee as well.
Officer Badalis still observed the wound to be bleeding and applied an additional tourniquet, which full stopped the bleeding. Officer Badalis should be commended for her lifesaving actions.
